Please read these instructions carefully as damage caused by incorrect packing of your gobox is not covered by any insurance arranged by or through gobox.

Packing your gobox

• Protect your items with felt blankets, old blankets or towels. Felt blankets are available from gobox.
• Place heavy items on the bottom and stack light items on top.
• Pack your items as tightly as possible to prevent shifting and damage.
• Try to distribute the weight evenly in your container. Avoid packing all the weight to one side.
• Choose appropriate packing boxes. Pack heavier items in smaller boxes so they can be lifted more easily.
• Use packing boxes that are uniform in size for easy stacking. gobox packing boxes are designed to be stacked uniformly.
• Fill packing boxes completely. This reduces shifting and helps prevent the cartons from shifting as well.
• Securely close all packing boxes. Closed cartons take less space and provide you with greater protection.
• Mark packing boxes with your name and list of contents. This will make finding things easier.
• Place items you need often in the front of your gobox.

For your safety

• DO NOT load more than 3 tonne in one gobox.
• DO NOT place flammable or hazardous materials in your storage container.
• DO NOT store liquids in your storage container.
• DO NOT let children play in, on, or around your gobox.

Breakables

• Use smaller book & wine packing boxes for greater protection of your glassware.
• Place heavier items in the bottom of the packing box.
• Wrap each item individually with bubble wrap or butcher’s paper.
• Stack dishes on their side and glassware upright.
• Pack all open space in storage boxes with butchers paper to ensure a tight fit.

Furniture

• Disassemble if possible – it will take up less space in your gobox.
• Cover with cloth or felt blankets to protect from damage.
• Most lounges can be stood on end to make the best use of space. Use felt blankets to protect armrests.
• Place mattresses and bases in a protective mattress cover.

Large appliances

• Clean appliances thoroughly before storing.
• Drain all water from appliances before storing. This includes washing machines, fridges & freezers.
• Tape down all moving parts.
• Store light items inside appliances with proper padding.
• Keep fridge & freezer door ajar to prevent mildew.

Mirrors & Pictures

• Wrap mirrors and pictures in butcher’s paper/bubble wrap & pack tightly into Picture/Mirror packing carton.
• DO NOT lay mirrors flat.

Clothing

• Port-a-Robes are best for storing clothing. Place shoes and folded items at the bottom of the box.

Books & Paper

• Pack books & papers into the smaller Book & Wine packing cartons.
